Hear Mark Robertson discuss M3 Works modeling efforts in Colorado in this YouTube video.
M3 Works proudly participates in the Colorado Airborne Snow Measurement (CASM) Program where we provide the snowpack modeling component of the program.
The modeling and LiDAR products form CASM are created with the goal of significantly improving the streamflow predictions in Colorado and are used by many groups throughout the region. This year, M3 Works will provide snowpack products for 15 basins throughout Colorado.

Mark is a hydrologist with expertise in seasonal snow cover and water supply. Mark began his career developing a novel technique for real-time radar measurements of snow water equivalent and liquid water content. He went on to join the team at USDA-ARS that advanced iSnobal from a research project to an operational modeling system. Prior to co-founding M3 Works, Mark was a hydrologist with the NRCS Idaho Snow Survey, where he gained valuable on-the-ground experience with snow measurement networks. Mark is afraid of spiders, lousy at chess, knows which Micah is which, and considers himself fortunate that his name starts with “M”.
